Michigans and Clare & Carl's…just go together!! 🌭❤️

And while Clare & Carls may not be serving up their famous Michigan sauce at this year's 2nd Annual Michigan Fest, they are proud to continue supporting this amazing event as a bun-believable backer of $500 and Tiffany Garcia will be one of our many volunteers helping at the event!

For generations, Clare & Carl's has been a North Country favorite, serving up great food, friendly faces, and memories that span decades. Their one-of-kind, roadside stand has become a summer tradition for locals and visitors alike, and their commitment to our community is “always on the menu.”

We're grateful for their support of Michigan Fest and the Battlefield Memorial Gateway project (which is right across the road from their location!). Next time you stop for a Michigan, head over to check out the BMG site. 🇺🇸

July is "NATIONAL HOT DOG MONTH!" In celebration, here's a flashback to 1958 with a visit to "Clare and Carl's," purveyors of that most delectable of North Country eats: the "Michigan" hot dog! This iconic roadside stand has been a local landmark since the early 1940s and still going strong eight decades later. National Hot Dog Month was established by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce back in 1956 (just two years before this photo was taken) to coincide with peak grilling season and the 4th of July.
