As the Founder and Executive Director of Tiny House Community Development, one of the things I have worked hard to incorporate into every veterans housing community we build is more than just a place to live.

We build one-bedroom tiny houses for veterans and two-bedroom homes for veteran families, but we also believe that a community should promote health, connection, and self-sufficiency.

That’s why our communities include:
🌱 Raised garden beds where residents can grow fresh vegetables.
🍎 Edible landscaping with fruit and nut-bearing plants.
🐝 Honeybee apiaries that support pollinators while producing local honey.
🏡 Community gathering spaces where neighbors can build friendships, share meals, and support one another.

A home is more than four walls and a roof. It’s a place where veterans can heal, families can thrive, and communities can grow together.

Our mission has always been to create neighborhoods that restore dignity, encourage independence, and provide opportunities for residents to reconnect with nature and with each other.

Together, we’re not just building houses—we’re building communities that honor those who have served our nation while creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
