I’ve been working in the garden the past couple days trying to get things started even though it’s sooo late in the month. The new chicks have grown fast and are joining me while I w**d and plant.
I need a name for this little cutie.

Our fruit trees and bushes are producing fruit!
Even though our pear tree is the biggest tree in the orchard, the constant hot/cold North Carolina has offered this year has killed all it’s flowers. Looks like no pears for us this year.
But our apples, peaches, blackberries, elderberries, mulberries and blue berries all are looking good! Hopefully, we are gonna be good for the season as long as the weather stays warm. 🤞

Went to Fresh Market the other day and was blown away by the prices of eggs. $12?!? Really?! And I get negative comments on my prices. Crazy.
I offer fresher, all natural-free range eggs for cheaper then grocery store eggs.
I spend over $100 a month on all natural feed and scratch for our chickens, not to mention the veggie and herb salads they get from the garden. And that’s not even including the bedding and medications when needed.
So yes, mine are $6 a dozen for large, all natural, farm fresh eggs that I dont make a dime off of. I do it because I love having chickens and the egg colors are pretty awesome as well. 🪺

We hatched 12 and then ended up buying 6 more.
