At People Water - DROP | FOR | DROP is our Social Mission. Water is the most basic human element and is essential to our life. To most of us, getting clean water is not an issue. Think of the last time you were thirsty, were you thirsty enough to drink from a polluted swamp, or a pond where animals drink and bathe? Most likely not. You likely had access to clean refreshing water. This is a thought
most of us can only imagine and something we will probably never have to face. There are over a billion people that need our help. Roughly 5,500 people die each day from water related diseases such as salmonella typhi, e.coli, hepatitis A and cholera. The sickening part of this is that these deaths are all 100% preventable. We will be able to help people all over the world get access to clean and safe drinking water by providing things like freshwater wells, fixing broken pumps, filtration systems, rain catchments and other future clean water technologies. When clean water is introduced to a community it changes everything. No more drinking dirty water, no more long exhausting walks for women and children, and most importantly, the people of the village can be healthier. At People Water it doesn't matter to us whether we are building a new well or fixing a broken one. The only thing that matters is that PEOPLE are getting clean water and with that clean water a chance to live a better life.
