Sunshine & Sweet Corn Sunshine & Sweet Corn started as an FFA SAE project. It has grown to include mums and has become a local favorite for delicious corn.

Wingard Farms is a cattle and row crop operation. We sell straw bales and cornstalks in the fall. Wingard Farms is a family run cattle and row crop operation. We started selling straw bales and corn stalks last year and plan to continue that this year. We will possibly have surplus garden veggies for sale, depending on how the garden grows! Sunshine & Sweet Corn is a division of Wingard Farms run

by our high-school aged daughter. It was started this year as an SAE project for FFA. She planted roughly an acre of sweet corn!

All of the support you all have given with each sweet corn or mum purchase helped to make this day a reality. đź’ś First day of classes as a K-State wildcat - and the first class was crop science! The time is NOW!

We started the season off feeling like the corn was never going to be ready. Now, the remaining plantings all came ready together and are ripening fast! 🤦‍♀️ This weekend will be our first and, unfortunately, last weekend selling. I guess Mother Nature is telling the corn guru it’s time to focus on college move-in things! We still have corn today, will be set up in Pleasant Hill (and possibly a 2nd location) Friday, and be at both the Pleasant Hill and Warrensburg farmers markets on Saturday. Contact us for your corn needs! Stock up while you can!!
