We have chosen to stay open tomorrow as a safe gathering place. 100% of our profits will be donated to the PIRC. Using cash means more $ to give away. We will also have a jar where folx can drop cash directly to PIRC. ABOLISH ICE

Myth Busters!

Myth: Homeless people are just avoiding work and living on handouts.

Fact: Nearly half of the clients at our 410 Safe Sleep Site are employed either full time or part time and still cannot afford basic needs like housing.

The old "get a job" adage doesn't hold up when you look at the numbers and realize many unhoused people living in shelters are working and trying to move to a place of stability but the rising cost of living and high demand for affordable housing are making it extremely difficult to move forward.

St. Vincent de Paul's shelter and self-sufficiency programs exist to be a support network for our clients as they work to find housing and gain independence and stability.
