Back Forty is heading to the annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off in Sparks, Nevada, where we have proudly represented the Bay Area with our award-winning barbecue since 1991.

For more than three decades, the Cook-Off has been one of our favorite traditions. Every year, we make the trip to Sparks to fire up the pits, serve thousands of ribs and compete alongside some of the best barbecue teams from across the country. We are proud to continue representing our hometown and carrying on a tradition that has become such a big part of Back Forty.

Our team is hitting the road today to get the pits ready for six full days of rib perfection. The competition will be as tough as ever, but for us, the Cook-Off has always been about more than winning. It is about great barbecue and the incredible community that has supported us every step of the way.

If you are coming to Sparks, be sure to stop by the Back Forty booth! Present this post, and you will have access to our VIP Area, where you can skip the line, grab a seat, enjoy your food and take a break from the crowds.

Jewels Hanson takes the Back Forty Stage this Friday at 7:30 PM. A Nashville recording artist, singer-songwriter, and Nashville Star Top 10 finalist, she's shared the stage with Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, and more.

Get ready for a fun night of country music, line dancing, and an incredible live show!

Join us July 17 and 18 at Pleasant Hill Park for two days of live music, craft beer, great food, and local vendors.
