🥚 A Little Update from Smith Family Farmstead 🥚

When we started selling eggs, our goal was never just to sell eggs—it was to provide our community with fresh, affordable food while sharing a little piece of our farm with our neighbors.

Recently, we’ve made the decision to reduce the size of our flock. With fewer chickens to care for, our feed costs have gone down, and we felt it was only right to pass those savings along to the people who continue to support us.

But there’s another reason for this change.

Like many families, we understand that grocery prices seem to keep climbing and that every dollar matters right now. While we may not be able to solve the bigger problems, we can do our small part to help.

Because of that, we’re lowering our egg prices to $2 per dozen.

Right now, we have 7 dozen farm-fresh eggs available for $2/dozen.

To everyone who has purchased eggs, shared our posts, stopped by, or simply encouraged our little farm along the way—thank you. Your support means more than you know. Small farms survive because of good people and strong communities, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of both.

❤️ From our family to yours, thank you for supporting local agriculture and small family farms.

Sometimes farm life brings both heartbreak and joy all at once. ❤️

Ruby surprised us with QUADRUPLETS — something we never expected! Unfortunately, two of the babies were born with their intestines outside of their bodies and despite our best efforts, they did not survive. Nature can be incredibly beautiful, but also incredibly hard sometimes.

The two surviving babies are still with us and fighting hard. 🐐✨ One is especially tiny and struggling, so we’d appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts for these little ones.

Our son named the babies Sky and Moon, and honestly their names couldn’t fit them more perfectly. 🌙☁️

We’re exhausted, emotional, and grateful all at once. Farm life definitely keeps us humble, but moments like these remind us just how precious every little life is.

Welcome to the farm, Sky & Moon.

🌿🐐 Farm Update: Babies Everywhere! 🐐🌿

We’ve got LOTS of cuteness happening here at Smith Family Farmstead 💛

Meet our newest little guys…
✨ Archer (white)
✨ Hunter (dapple)

These twin bucklings are extra special to us. Their mama, Taylor, and her sister Abigail were our very first goats—we’ve had them since the day they were born and raised them as bottle babies 🍼 So getting to welcome the next generation from her just means everything to our family.

And if that wasn’t enough sweetness…

💗 Sugar & Spice are growing and thriving, and we couldn’t be more obsessed with them!

Between the bouncing, the zoomies, and the snuggles… it’s safe to say the barn is FULL of life right now 🥹

🎥 Be sure to check out the video—we promise it’ll make your day!

As always, thank you for supporting our little farm. Moments like this are why we love what we do 🌸

🌿🐐 Meet Our Newest Additions! 🐐🌿

We are so excited to officially introduce our twin bucklings…

✨ Archer & Hunter ✨

These two sweet boys are extra special to us — they are out of Taylor, one of our very first goats here at Smith Family Farmstead 💚

Taylor and her sister Abigail were our very first two goats, and we’ve had them since the day they were born. They were our bottle babies, and they hold such a special place in our hearts 🥹🐐

So getting to welcome Taylor’s babies into the world just means that much more to us. It’s a full-circle moment we’ll never forget 💫

Archer is already showing off his sweet, curious personality, while Hunter is a little more laid-back (for now 😉). We can’t wait to watch them grow and see their personalities really shine!

Thank you all for following along with our journey — moments like this are why we love what we do 🌾

Abel was excited to meet the baby goats. We have twin girls! We’re working on names now 😜
