Check out this fantastic feature in John Deere’s The Furrow, highlighting our friends at Helt's Turf Farms: https://www.deere.com/en/publications/the-furrow/2026/march-2026/grass-roots/

From their roots in Harrisonville to becoming a staple in the Lee’s Summit and KC metro area, Shawn Helt and his family have built an incredible three-generation legacy. It's awesome to see their hard work and John Deere equipment featured on the national stage!

Helts Turf Farms, and the Helt family, would like to thank Magnum ENP - Bucyrus Equipment Company for the time they spent with us last fall. Magnum Equipment is an international leader in big roll sod equipment. We are lucky to have their headquarters as well as their factory located not far from us. We have become good friends with them, their families and employees over the years. The Dover family has been in the sod business for many years. Gary Dover, founder of both the sod farm and the manufacturing company, is one of the pioneers who changed the sod industry for the better for all of us. We are fortunate to call him a friend. We look forward to doing business with them for many years to come.
Thank You, Shawn Helt

Thank you MOKAN Sportsfield Management Association for allowing us to host your Field Day/Trade Show here at Helt’s Turf Farms today. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet several new ones, both vendors and attendees. There were several booths set up for local sports field managers to check out the newest equipment, supplies and seed the industry has to offer and given a chance to network with peers in the industry. The morning haze kept the temperatures comfortable and the day finished off with lunch provided, a raffle drawing and a corn hole tournament.

Last week we at Helt’s Turf Farms lost a valued employee and more importantly a great friend.
We are all still in shock and very sad about the sudden passing of our sales manager, Keith Gilmore.
Please keep Keith’s family and the Helt’s Turf Farm family in your prayers.

Keith Alan Gilmore age 53, passed away suddenly on Thursday May 30th in his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Keith enjoyed spending time at the racetrack during the summer and hunting in the fall and winter. He was a bestfriend, husband, father and papa. He is preceded in death by his father Larry Gil...
