We found an old cistern under the kitchen floor. If you notice in the first pix, Kodys feet are resting on the rocks. Yesterday we pumped the water all evening. At some point, Dave gets down in there to adjust the pump and the debris bottom dropped 2 ft. Water came back over night and we are pumping again tonight but not getting in. I am thinking I may have to come up with a cool water feature for my kitchen because it doesn't appear this thing is gonna dry up. Ugh. Remodeling a 100 year old farmhouse is not for the faint of heart.

I was hoping to not have to completely rebuild the flooring support in every room but so far that, that's not the case. ...

I was hoping to not have to completely rebuild the flooring support in every room but so far that, that's not the case. Zoom in and look at the foundation wall in the kitchen. Ugh. We also found an old cistern which hopefully we not present ant problems. We are trying to pump it dry and see how deep it is. More to come on this!

We took some time to burn off part of a pasture getting ready for spring growing season. There is much to do inside the house but it was nice to be able to work outside and enjoy the land a little. Plus I LOVE burning.

Dave was working on electrical and I noticed this heart hanging on the wall was in the picture. This room was sheetrock when we bought the house but the elderly couple took the time to hang a cute curtain and hang this handmade plaque that says "grandma". I need to slow down and appreciate the process of remodeling this "house" because even with unfinished walls, to the elderly couple it was obviously a H❤ME.

The room we are making into a bathroom was an enclosed porch type room. We had to completely rebuild the floors and plumbing. The guys are now hanging sheetrock and it's hard to tell in the pictures but the roof line slants so it been a bear. They are so close! This is the only room that has to be completely gutted. Or that's what we ate hoping for.

Hannah and Ollie do not love to be touched. They will let you pet them if you have treats but just to walk up to them and pet is usually a no. But everytime Daxton yells at them, they come running and they both let him pet them as long as he stays calm. It is the sweetest.
