For those following the farm and our rejected filly, by her maiden Mom, this is introducing the Nurse Mare. Contrary to many assumptions, the Nurse mares lactate NOT by having a foal, but my chemistry and medications.
The reason mare is sweaty is that she had a medication making her sweat, a bit crampy. They wipe Mare sweat on baby, and introduce Mare to foal. It literally took 5 seconds for her to knickers and start picking foal. And filly was suckling within minutes. A miracle and salute to any adoptive parent, the world is a better place because of them.
