Burning Dreams Ranch - Colorado Sheep'n'Goats Finding natural ways to raise our dairy goats, beef cattle, American Guinea Hogs, ducks and chickens here on our dry land ranch in southwestern Colorado.

Join us on our homesteading journey! This page is designed to help those who are just starting out with their own flocks/herds. You will quickly learn that there is no guidebook for dealing with sheep or goats. You have to learn by experience and find what works for you. Some things that work for one person might not help your herd. I found this out the hard way and shall strive to write

down all my experiences so that you can possibly avoid potential problems, or at least find a solution to quickly fix whatever problem(s) you may be having!

Our Story

Hey y’all! Welcome to our page! Burning Dreams Ranch is just a small “Homestead” for now, as my husband (the Farm Boss) and I work towards our journey to become self sufficient! We raise Nubian, Lamancha, and Gurnsey goats, heritage American Guinea Hogs, ducks and free range chickens, as well as grass fed beef cattle. Looking to add Hereford Hogs in the near future! Always looking for new holistic remedies and recipes to improve the health and happiness of all the critters that call our little ranch home, including our guardian llama, Cronk. We’re a combination farm/ranch/dairy with limited herd shares available. Comments and visitor posts welcome, but please no negativity!
