CWD Ranch & Cattle CWD Ranch & Cattle was founded in 2016. We raise Brangus and Beefmaster cattle. There is plenty of fun at the ranch!

Our ranch is home to whitetail deer, turkey, quail & other wildlife (including many dove & migratory birds). We are located approximately 45 min South of downtown San Antonio

Sometimes the Lord laughs at us and he sure was yesterday. We thought the red mom had twins and we chased the little Molly faced guy all over yesterday trying to get him contained with what we thought was his mom…we were exhausted, so was he. Then we prayed a lot, hoping he’d still be alive today…sure enough after some more searching today, he was just hanging out with his actual mom and doing just fine! I guess we got a good workout in and learned another reminder to put our trust in Him and not always try to control things ourselves!

Over the past week or two we’ve been constantly trying to keep the cows warm and fed and the pipes from bursting…after all the hard work, we’ve been rewarded with the first two calves of 2026!

Quite an up and down week last week. We got about 1” of rain early in the week and then got another 1” of rain on Friday...

Quite an up and down week last week. We got about 1” of rain early in the week and then got another 1” of rain on Friday morning. Unfortunately, mid week we also found a calf that appeared to be stillborn, but thankfully the mom seems to be healthy and recovering fine. One of our bulls also gave us a little worry, but he seems to be fine as well. Thank you God, for the much needed rain and for continuing to protect our animals!
