Our family is several generations deep in 4-H and various youth organization involvement. Tonight we enjoyed hosting our local 4-H Livestock Club to talk about showing cattle. We are always happy to share what we’ve learned and to learn from others.

I would like to thank the person who asked the original question, “What is the point of youth ag?”

There is no right or wrong answer to that question. Agriculture is a journey, and every single person takes a different path along the way.

But if you have a moment, be sure to check out the rest of the magazine from PacWest Showman. It is an honor to be a sponsor, but even more importantly, it is inspiring to see the outstanding young men and women who simply try. And sometimes, trying alone is worth more than any banner or buckle because that is where learning, growth, and character begin.
