It isn’t The Farm that makes the Farmer. It’s the Love, Hard Work, and Character-Unknown
This Guy was a True Farmer. I can recall being a teenager, and he was such a sweet guy who worked on the farm. Then as the years went by I realized what it truly meant to work on the Farm. This guy always had a kind word to say, or a helping hand to give even when exhausted from the long days/nights on the farm. I can recall him teasing me for trying to lose some weight prior to our wedding. He would stop me on the road while running, and shake his head telling me I didn’t need to lose weight. Then the years of Trent growing up. I can’t recall how many times Trent would beg me to go “work” on the farm. I would tell him no, Dad is in the field, and Grandpa wasn’t around either. He then would say “Well then take me to Darrell. Darrell truly was a gift to me. He helped break up my days with an anxious child who was relentless about wanting to be at the farm. There were countless times he would grab Trent without me asking if Trent could tag along with him. When Taylor worked in the grading shed as a young girl. Darrell was her go to person as well. Then the kids got busy with school, sports, friends, etc. I don’t think there was a time Darrell didn’t ask about the kids well being. Especially when they went to College.
This guy touched our family on the farm. He gave so much without asking for anything in return.
We will miss you Darrell! Until we meet again!♥️-Dawn
