COMMUNITY NOTICE

Due to the ongoing wildfires in the Spokane area, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe is opening the Rose Creek Longhouse to anyone who has been displaced or needs a safe place to stay.

If you or someone you know has been affected by the fires and needs temporary shelter, the Longhouse is available.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with family, friends, and anyone who may need assistance during this time.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires, and we hope all those affected stay safe.

Some of our staff has chosen to stay at work today - the Benewah Auto Center will remain open as will Ace Hardware.

The Benewah Market cashiers will be in attendance and therefore the Market will still be closed from 9am - 12pm today. Thank you for understanding.

With the passing of George ManyBears we as a team want to acknowledge just how much he meant to us and the joy he brought to our daily work lives.

Always a smile on his face, a helpful employee with wonderful commitment to our goals and always providing THE best background jams to those in the office at lunch time. His absence in the last three months since his retirement have been notable and now his presence with us on this earth will be tremendously missed by us and so many more.

Thank you George and for all you gave to us and the community through the years.

In honor of George and what he means to us. Benewah Market - Ace Hardware - Benewah Auto will all be closed Monday July 13, 2026 from 9am - 12pm so that his friends and coworkers can pay their last respects.

Thank you for your understanding.
