🚨 CINNAMON ROLL ALERT! 🚨
We have ONE round of fresh from the oven cinnamon rolls hitting the Bread Shed soon! 🤍

To prevent any Bread Shed brawls 😂, we’re going to do this one a little differently:

COMMENT or MESSAGE ME to claim a 2-pack!

✨ 2 cinnamon rolls- $12
We’ll be frosting them shortly, and once I’ve responded to you that you’ve got a pack, your order will be set aside with your name on it in the Bread Shed.
Once this round is spoken for, I’ll have a much better gauge on how many of you missed out... and we’ll see if we can squeeze in another cinnamon roll bake later this week! 👀

Fresh. Warm. Gooey.

Comment or message me to claim yours! 🤍

And I think we might be getting really close. 👀

A little bowl of comfort…

Fresh roasted tomato soup, a little basil from the garden, cannellini beans blended in for extra protein and fiber and a few slices of our Harvest Seed sourdough for dipping. 🤍

This might just be one of my favorite ways to use up all those beautiful garden tomatoes.

Simple ingredients. Big flavor. Cozy food made from scratch. 🥖🍅🌿

📣 IMPORTANT SCHEDULE UPDATE 📣
As many of you know, our kids head back to school next week! 🥹📚

For the last couple of years, we’ve made it a little tradition to take the first week of school off from the bakery while we all transition back into our school-year routine.
So, please plan accordingly...there will not be our normal bakery schedule next week. 🤍

BUT… 👀
There MIGHT be a little surprise bake drop happening sometime next week. 😉
We’re going to play the week by ear and see how everyone adjusts. And if the stars align… maybe we’ll sneak in a special bake day.

Maybe a CINNAMON ROLL DAY. 👀🤤

So keep those eyes peeled and your notifications on! You just never know what might pop up at Oak & Arrow. 🤍
Thank you, as always, for giving us the grace to slow down for a minute and get our family settled into a new school year. We appreciate you more than you know! 🫶🏻

One of their favorite jobs on the homestead: picking beans with Mom. 🫛🐾🤍

Although, I think they’re more interested in the quality control part. 😂

Our all time favorite pickled beet recipe 👇

Pickled Beets for Canning
Yield: 5-6 pints

Ingredients
35-40 small beets, unpeeled
Or 25-30 larger beets
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
2 cups white vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon whole cloves

Directions
In a large pot, cook the unpeeled beets until fork tender. Do not overcook. Allow them to cool, then remove the skins.
Slice the beets into approximately ¼-inch slices or cut them into cubes.

Pack the beets snugly into clean canning jars, being careful not to bruise or crush them.

In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water, white vinegar, ground cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and whole cloves. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Quickly pour the hot pickling liquid over the beets in the jars, leaving ¾-inch headspace. The liquid should come no higher than the shoulder of the jar.
Process in a boiling-water bath for 12 minutes.
Remove jars and cool on a rack.
