Wednesday was more than just a grand opening — it was the celebration of a dream that took family, community, relationships, patience, creativity, and a whole lot of love to bring to life. 🇯🇲💚💛🖤
Taste of JA did not get here alone, and we could never let this moment pass without thanking the people who helped us along the way.
A huge thank you to Rose Daniels, Have A Art, and GiGI, the phenomenal mural artists who truly helped bring our space to life. Thank you for believing in the vision, for showing up purely on the strength of community and relationships, and for being willing to support someone stepping out and trying something new. That kind of love and support means more than we can put into words.
Thank you to Blessed Xpressions and Tiffanie Victoria for consistently showing up and offering Taste of JA assistance with decor and decoration. I appreciate everything you and your business have done for us!
A huge thank you to Sabatino for helping us with equipment and contributing something invaluable — business education.
Shout out to the Goodwill Hose #2 Fire Department in Plymouth for lending a hand and helping us get our beautiful cutout of Jamaica up on that wall! 🇯🇲 That moment meant so much to us. It was the final touch. 🇯🇲
Thank you to Plymouth Alive for being such a supportive organization throughout this entire process — helping us navigate codes, inspection rules, and city questions. Your support, courage, and kindness made all the difference. Thank you for welcoming us to Main Street!
Thank you to Dawn Charles Simmons, Daryl Lewis, Louis Martinez, and Alexis Eroh for showing up, supporting us, and being part of this journey.
A very special thank you to Charles Boswell for being a major support system from beginning to end — helping transport items and equipment, helping us plan, helping us problem-solve, and continuing to think about what Taste of JA’s success can look like in the future.
We appreciate you tremendously. The education you have provided our family and the love and support you continuously provide are felt and appreciated. Thank you for being willing to take this journey with us. 🥹🥰
And of course, thank you to our family who supported, worried, prayed, encouraged, sacrificed, offered help, and kept pushing when this dream still felt far away. This belongs to all of us.
Most importantly, thank you to every single customer who has supported Taste of JA over the last two years. Every plate you bought, every review, every repost, every recommendation, every “when are y’all opening?”, and every person who told us to keep going helped get us here.
You enjoyed the food, believed in what we were building, and wanted to see us succeed — and Wednesday, we finally got to celebrate that next chapter with you.
Taste of JA could not have done this without y’all.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. ❤️
We’re officially open, and this is only the beginning.
