Show steer donor in the waiting, I’ve always been confused on why guys buy perfection bred show heifers to raise the next great purebred steer. I’ve long felt that if I was gonna get serious about the show steer game I’d do it with one bred like this girl! To help the matter, her maternal brother (sired by FSF Perfection) just won the Illinois State Fair! Seems like the hard work has been done, oh she’s also already seen a show ring with a young kid on the end of the halter and was selected as reserve shorthorn heifer in a ring with mature heifers! I know we are definitely gonna hold on to a couple flushes on this one so if we want to we can try are hand at raising steers. I wonder how we should flush her?!

Everybody loves a red head, high caliber Simmy coming at you! This one stems back to our z254 we bought from Purdue a long time ago. We are still fortunate enough to have a few daughters of hers roaming our pastures. This girl has had multiple maternal sibs win on every level. Just ask the Clauson, Gutshall, and Hoffner families how they feel about this cow family! She has a beautiful set to her shoulder blade that she ties high out of. Balance throughout the rest of her body and still can motor with the best of them! The thing that we love most about her though is the added shot of power she comes with. If you’re looking for a burly tank of a heifer that will command respect in the ring but turn around and generate $$ in the pasture you should probably pay close attention to this one!
