Another group of hogs officially moved in this weekend!

There’s always something exciting about starting a new batch and knowing these pigs will be raised with the care, quality feed, and attention we believe good food deserves. A lot of early mornings, chores, and planning go into raising pork the right way, and we’re grateful to be able to keep doing it.

Now the countdown begins until these guys are headed to freezers and family tables later this year.

Ready to stock your freezer with high quality pork? We have 2 hogs left that are scheduled to go to Cornelius Butchery in Pickrell on May 11th.

Our hogs are raised on dirt and given locally sourced feed along with lots of garden/veggie scraps.

He is risen! Alleluia!

Easter is a reminder of hope, sacrifice, and the promise of new life. It’s a season that brings us back to what matters most, faith, family, and gratitude for the blessings we’ve been given.

We’re especially thankful for this life we get to live, providing real, nourishing food for our family and yours. It’s something we don’t take lightly, and it’s rooted in a deep belief that we’re called to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us.

As we celebrate today, we’re grateful for each of you who supports our farm and shares in this mission. From our family to yours, we wish you a blessed and joyful Easter.

Never gotten pork directly from the farmer and don’t know what to expect? You’re not alone, and we promise it’s easier than you think.

Here’s how it works at Epp Farms:

First, you reserve your hog with us. Just let us know if you’re interested in a whole or half and we’ll put your name on one.

Next, we deliver your hog to Cornelius Butchery on your scheduled butcher date. Once they have your hog, Cornelius will contact you directly to ask how you’d like your pork cut and processed—things like chops, roasts, bacon, sausage, and more. Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before; they’re great at walking you through your options.

Cornelius will also send us the hanging weight of your hog and we’ll let you know what you owe us at that time.

Cornelius will then process your hog and let you know when your meat is ready for pick up. You’ll pay the butcher separately for processing when you pick it up. Processing will take between one and three weeks depending on what all you are having done.

The result? High-quality, locally raised pork, processed how you like it. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back to store-bought.

We have one whole hog left this year and it’s headed to the butcher on the 22nd. If you’ve been on the fence, now is your time! Send us a message if you’d like to reserve a hog or have questions—we’re always happy to help.
