Little Creek Alpacas, established in 2008, is a chemical free farm that raises alpacas sustainably and ethically. Little Creek Alpacas was born out of a great love for animals, and the desire to become more self sufficient and raise our children in a more spiritual setting. We chose alpacas over other livestock because they are docile, earth friendly, and produce a wonderul, luxurious fiber that is better than cashmere. Alpaca fiber is not only soft, durable, and warm; it is also moisture wicking, flame retardant, water resistant, and stain resistant.

Thank you, to all of you who came to our last Alpaca Beach Party of the Season. The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time. Micah has named the new guy (pictured here) Qibli (pronounced Kib-Lee), and we're still waiting for Johnnie to give birth to our last cria of the season. This week we're getting ready for one of our favorite shows of the year, the Fall Western Illinois Fiber Festival! It will be this Sat., Oct. 24th from 10am-4pm at the McDonough County 4-H Center in Macomb, IL.

Leila hopes to see everyone today at our Alpaca Beach Party - 2026 Season Finale from 1pm-5pm on the farm. The weather is going to be beautiful. Puppet show starts at 2pm. Make a free Halloween magnet in the Kid's Craft Area. Paint Your Own with Paint the Sky Blue - just $5 today only! Wear your Little Creek Alpacas t-shirt and get half priced grain cups all day. Bluey wanted to say hi. We wanted to let you all know that I will be at the last outdoor Macomb Farmers Market tomorrow from 8am-12pm! Don't forget, the Macomb Farmers Market will be on the courthouse square tomorrow (Sat., Oct. 17th). Originally I thought I'd be too exhausted to do it, but I think I can pull it off with the help of my favorite drink from Sullivan Taylor Uptown. See you all tomorrow, and don't forget this Sun., Oct. 18th is our Alpaca Beach Party - 2026 Season Finale from 1pm-5pm. It's the last time we'll be open in 2026! Come meet the new crias and see if Johnnie will have hers (she was due Oct. 15th).

- Yesterday my oldest son and I went to the BBB Torch Ethics Awards, Little Creek Alpacas was one of the 30 finalists out of 140. We did not win, but it was fun and a good experience.
- Sat., Oct. 17th is the last outdoor Macomb Farmers Market from 8am-12pm and we'll be on the courthouse square! At 1st I thought I'd be too exhausted to do it, but I'm coming now!
- This Sun., Oct. 18th is our Alpaca Beach Party - 2026 Season Finale from 1pm-5pm on the farm. The weather is going to be beautiful, we hope you all can make it.
- Next Sat., Oct. 24th is the Fall Western Illinois Fiber Festival from 10am-4pm at the McDonough County 4-H Center.
- Sat., Nov. 7th is the 1st Macomb Winter Market of the season, inside at the Elks Lodge from 8am-12pm.
- Sat., Nov. 14th is Altrusa Bazaar at Macomb High School from 9am-3pm.
- Sat., Nov. 21st Macomb Winter Market at the Elks Lodge from 8am-12pm.
- Sat., Nov. 28th I'll be at Bev's Yarn Barn in Rock Island, IL from 10am-4pm.
- Sat., Dec. 5th is the Old Dog Holiday Market from 11am-6pm at Old Dog Winery LLC in Canton, IL.
- Fri., Dec. 11th & Sat., Dec. 12th is the Art & Gift Market at the Western Illinois Museum.
- Sat., Dec. 19th Macomb Winter Market at the Elks Lodge from 8am-12pm.

Greetings from Frijole Picante. We have some exciting news. Tomorrow, the farm-her will be getting dressed up and headed to Peoria because Little Creek Alpacas is a finalist for a BBB Torch Ethics award! Thank you, everyone, for your support over the years, and thank you for nominating our farm. My oldest son will be joining me, so we'll make sure to take plenty of photos to share the moments with all of you.
