As we prepare for another memorable season at the orchard, our team wanted to share an important update about Plymouth Orchards.

Responsible and sustainable farming is our top priority, and we rely on organic farming practices on our orchard. However, beginning with the 2026 season, we will no longer maintain our certified organic credential. Throughout the last decade, our apple crops have been unsuccessful due to immense pest pressure. Michigan has an incredibly short growing season, and shifting weather patterns make it challenging for us to produce high-quality apples and maintain our status as a certified organic orchard.

Please know that this decision was made thoughtfully and carefully, and with the long-term success of our orchard in mind. Our priority continues to be producing flavorful, orchard-grown apples for our community to enjoy, and we will continue controlling fungal diseases and w**d suppression organically. By combining organic farming practices with minimal mitigation measures, we will make sure you have crisp, juicy and aromatic apples all season long.

Thank you, as always, for being with us on this journey. Plymouth Orchards has been a community staple for more than 40 years, and we look forward to being part of your fall family memories for years to come!

Wow — 2026 is flying by, and we can't believe it's already the last week of July!

Here at Plymouth Orchards, we are getting ready for another amazing season, which kicks off on Saturday, August 29th!

We wanted to give you a brief update about what we have been up to. The cider mill may only be open during the fall, but our team works year-round, tending the land and growing amazing, farm-fresh food to nourish our community.

Here's a look at our year so far:
🌸Pruned 12 acres of apple trees — that's more than 2,000 trees!
🌱Planted asparagus
🦌Discovered a sweet new arrival this spring
🌳Began replanting more than 100 young trees that were lost in the summer storms

Be on the lookout for more information and updates in the weeks to come. We can't wait to see you, but for now, enjoy the summer sunshine!
