This guy looks familiar!!!
Meet Andrew Carriger, our new General Manager. Some of you may be thinking, he looks familiar. And, you are correct. Andrew isn’t a stranger to Back Channel—he’s been a loyal customer and lives just down the road. His wife is a member of the administrative team in the Westonka district, and his son will be entering kindergarten this fall.
Andrew's deep connection to our community and appreciation for our welcoming culture made him the ideal person to step into this role. With nearly 20 years of hospitality leadership experience, Andrew joins us most recently from Schram Vineyards. His background includes managing award-winning wine programs and hospitality operations at some of the country’s top restaurants and hotels.
We invite you to stop by soon and say hello to Andrew!
Get to know Andrew:
What is your go-to beer style?
I have been a fan of the Minne Matsui Rice Lager or Good Fun American Lager during the summer. During fall and winter I lean toward the Draftsman Vienna Lager.
What drew you to Back Channel?
The engagement, events & connection to the community was really exciting to me. Also, the Back Channel Team has been extremely welcoming and kind, which I am truly grateful for.
What are you most excited about in your new role?
To be able to work and serve guests in the community that you live in makes work feel more meaningful.
Favorite taproom snack?
Probably would have to go with the Circle Pines Sausage Haus - Smoked Beef Sticks or Brown Chicken Brown Cow food truck if on property.
Go to BCB beer grab?
This week in my fridge has been the Back Draught Munich Helles Style Lager. I got to try it at the Mound Fire Department Fish Fry at the beginning of Summer. It's been something I keep coming back to beat the heat on hot days.
