When the tide pulls back, you get a whole different look at what’s happening out here.

Oysters growing, cages covered in seaweed, and plenty of life making itself at home in the same water we farm in.

It’s not always pretty. It’s not always clean. But it’s a living, breathing ecosystem...and we’re lucky enough to work right in the middle of it! 🤙

🦪 Plymouth oysters are making a splash! 🌊

We’re excited to be part of the Plymouth Seafood Festival on September 26th, celebrating the incredible seafood, growers, and working waterfront that make Plymouth so special!

Come meet the people behind the oysters, learn a little about what goes into growing them right here in Plymouth, and most importantly, try some for yourself! 🦪

Beer Money Oyster Co. will be there alongside some of the other incredible local oyster farms participating in the festival. Check out the full list of growers on the event graphic and come taste your way through Plymouth’s oyster scene.

Did you know....oysters are the third most valuable seafood species in Massachusetts, behind sea scallops and lobsters? Pretty cool for something that spends its days sitting quietly on the bottom of the bay. 😉

Our oysters spend months growing, getting tended, sorted, and moved through the farm until they’re just the right size to be picked for an order!

A lot happens beneath the surface before that oyster ever makes it to a raw bar...and we’re pretty proud of the journey.

From the table to the farm! 🦪🌊

We had the pleasure of bringing our friends from Eventide Fenway out to see where the oysters come from!

Alongside our partners at Duxbury Oyster Co., we spent the day showing them a little of what goes into growing and tending oysters!

They got a behind-the-scenes look at the farm and a lesson in shucking their own oysters. Nothing like getting your hands a little dirty and learning how to open the very thing you’ve been serving up!

It’s pretty cool seeing the journey come full circle...from the farm, to the boat, to the restaurant, and eventually to the plate.
