People always ask me if I get stung very often.
I really don’t…maybe 5 times a year, sometimes less. I do everything I can to keep from getting stung.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much protection you have on…you still get stung.
Today was one of those days. 🐝

It has been a hard few days for the bees, but we are thankful for the much-needed rain!
The girls were finally able to be out and about in the clover today, bringing in nectar and pollen.

I saved a jar of our peach pepper jam to make a ham glaze at Easter. I ended up having to work on Easter, so didn’t get to make the ham. (Boo 😔)
I finally opened the jar this weekend and had it over some smoked cream cheese Derek made.
Oh My G😍😍Dnes…it is addicting! If you have a jar & the ability to smoke some cream cheese, do it!!

Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful Saturday morning to dig in the dirt.

This time of year always leaves me feeling like I am behind in all the things…but, I’ve learned to slow down and work at an easier pace to prevent burnout. This has helped my mental and physical state tremendously.
I have to remind myself that I am not in a race and I am not competing with anyone. Growing things brings me joy so I will pace myself and enjoy my many blessings & the fruits of my labor.
