Congratulations Nathan!!!
I’ve been struggling with what to say in this post for 2 weeks now, not knowing how to say what I want to say. Having the trailer come out and being at a loss for words, is nothing compared to seeing the actual show air and the support and love that both Nathan and I have received from friends, family and the community. I’ve waited as I continue to get texts from friends and family saying they are on episode 4 or 5 or just started watching. But, by now, I guess the spoilers are out there, so if you don’t know the end by now…
This has been such an unbelievable experience to both witness and be a small part of. I am beyond proud of Nathan and his accomplishments. Like I told Jason Biggs, I knew he was going to kick some ass and he did! When I walked into the final judging and saw his creations, it looked like a magazine cover. I had no doubt in my mind, he had it on taste, we all knew that, and he nailed it on aesthetics. It was an amazing and emotional experience to be a part of. Seeing just a fraction of what goes on in making a single episode, I can’t imagine the stress and chaos in doing 8 episodes, but Nathan did an amazing job. I know it wasn’t always easy and the late night calls were hard some nights but he pushed through and shined.
When he left to film, I knew he was going to go far, and I had no doubt he would make it to the end. Watching the episodes unfold after hearing the stories, watching his energy, excitement, attitude and personality become more and more of a focus as the show went on was just so amazing, I’m not telling you anything you don’t know I guess, it was just wonderful to watch!
When the show dropped and we woke up at 1:00am and watched them all right away, (I don’t think any other TV in the world had that show streaming as fast as ours or all the way through without pauses!) it was amazing to see how his personality and talent just came to life on TV.
I’m so proud of Nathan and humbled by the support we’ve seen in Pocatello over the past few weeks especially, let alone the past few years. Having people alter their cross country trips to stop in Pocatello and try some cheesecake and meet Nathan has been so cool to see. Strangers drive up from Utah just to get a slice of cheesecake, (without calling to make sure we had some), it’s just so amazing to see the support and admiration he has received.
Congratulations Nathan, so proud of your abilities and accomplishments. Thanks for having me by your side through all of it! I Love you!
