To the entire Salt Air Community,
First and foremost this is a note of THANKS. However, it is also a FAREWELL. After 8 amazing years at Salt Air - we have decided to close the cafe. Sunday Aug 8th will be our last day.
Let’s be proud of what we did!!!! We supported our local agricultural community by directing our dollars to local and clean food producers.
These farmers and food artisans shared a similar mission to distribute clean food devoid of the refined processed chemicals
found in our traditional food cultivation and distribution system.
You told us you could taste the difference and we know you appreciated it - for that we are grateful.
Essentially, we are still a bit ahead of our time in what I refer to as “new paradigm food solutions”. Sourcing food in this manner is no easy task for a restaurant nor is it cost-effective for a business nor is it affordable to all in these times.
So let’s keep up the good work. We can all continue to make a difference by educating ourselves to be conscious of where our food comes from and by rewarding worthy companies and individuals by directing our spending to those that go above and beyond to bring us untainted food.
Thank you for the memories made and the friends gained. We truly appreciate your acceptance and understanding of our commitment to serve conscious cuisine.
My dream was to create a cafe where it felt like a picnic. Where the food you were eating was pesticide, gmo-free and guilt free from big agri-chemical companies and name brands. A place to hang with like minded people who are not in a rush to receive fast food. WE DID IT!!!!!
The bonds of love can never be broken. We received so much love from our community and gave a lot too! It was hard, but it was all worth it!
At last, all my best to each and every Salty … and especially to those who worked along side of me! You will always be remembered with gratitude and joy. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
A special thank you to our investors Aly Paz and Roe Hannon who helped make it all possible. Without their generosity there would not have been a Salt Air Café.
Dare to dream!!!! Push through your fears!!!
With love and in service,
Kelly Bossard
