Tomorrow is the National Strike.
We stand firmly with those calling for humane, just immigration policies and fully support the message behind this movement. At the same time, we believe that meaningful, lasting change also grows from strong, connected local communities.
For that reason, alongside other small businesses in West Marin, we will remain open.
Instead of closing our doors, we will spend the day facilitating and matching donations to the National Immigration Law Center, contributing up to $5,000 in matching funds.
We are also opening our space to the community as a safe, welcoming environment for thoughtful conversation and peaceful protest in response to the actions of ICE and the Department of Homeland Security.
We encourage our community to support the movement in ways that create everyday impact:
• Shop locally (using cash when possible).
• Attend school and support local education, ensuring our districts receive essential funding.
• Call your elected representatives to share your concerns about ICE policy and funding.
• Spend intentionally by reducing or avoiding purchases from large corporations such as Amazon, Home Depot, Spotify, Delta, Hilton, and Target.
By supporting locally owned businesses and engaging in civic action throughout the year, we can help build a stronger, more compassionate community for all.
