š«Not all Cacao is the same
There are many different varieties of Cacao grown in very different places and conditions around the world.
šAround 70% of the worlds cacao is grown in West Africa and is called forastero. This plant is made for high yields with a lack of quality and intention.
These are huge farms that spray pesticides and can become very susceptible to heavy metals.
š³We source a rare heirloom seed called CRIOLLO cacao known for its quality and complex flavor profiles.
This seed makes up less than 1 percent of all cacao grown in the world.
The farms that we source from are small, family operated, organic and regenerative farms.
This is very important because Cacao soaks up all that is in the soil. This dirt is filled with nutrients and biodiversity without harmful heavy metals or chemicals.
We truly care about quality and health. If you do too, now might be the time to try the best cacao in the world!
