Burritt Farms Welcome to Burritt Farm Markets LLC. The original farm was established in 1816 by our 3rd great-grandfather, Peter Newman.

In 2024, we reorganized under Burritt Farms to extend the farm into its third century.

Wednesday is the freeze ❄️ date for the chickens, so it's the last day 👀 to purchase them fresh. They range from 4 lbs to 6.5 lbs.
We have sold record numbers this week. Learning that October is chicken month.. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Who knew that?
Thank you all for coming in!
We will continue to have whole chickens and packaged halves in the freezers, along with our farm grown pork (while it lasts).

Saturday was Chicken Day! 🐔 The chickens are fresh and in the coolers, they still need to be labeled. They will be available for pickup, fresh & not yet frozen, on Monday. We have orders, but we have plenty available. If you do want to pick them up Sunday afternoon because that's more convenient for you, just call us or send a message.
You are welcome to pick out the exact chicken that you'd like from our cooler. We have whole chickens packaged, or two halves packaged together.

We've been busy with the flower shop 💐 and the farm 👩🏼‍🌾 and we forgot to introduce you to the NICOLA variety of potato 🥔 that we grew this year. Read more about it, its low glycemic index...... 😍

Today, some of us attended a field trip hosted by Leon Atwell of Grassy Cow in Remsen. Along with other attendees, we went on a pasture walk and had an interactive conversation showcasing regenerative pasture management for dairy/beef operations. This is a step forward for conserving and improving soil health on our farmlands.

Thank you to Leon Atwell of Grassy Cow Dairy and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County for hosting and providing this educational opportunity.
