Calves are enjoying the bedding. Ready for the sale this Friday at Herreid Livestock. All the steers in town and there’s still a cut that would make good replacement heifers too.

First heifer had a Hickock heifer 02/22/2022. Sure is nice to see calves hit the ground running despite the cold. Heifers were AI’d by Reed Eszlinger. Excited to see all the genetic pairings once again!

Nice day to haul some of our steers over to Herreid Livestock Auction for tomorrow’s sale. Majority of the sires are from Johnson-Rose Angus Ranch , VAN BEEK ANGUS , and home-raised stock. These boys will flat-out grow! Wish all cattle would be as willing to load as the steer below!

Some of the highlights of this past week were getting our heifers AI’d and receiving a very needed rainfall. Among many other things!

As Memorial Day is upon us there is a lot to be thankful for. None of this life would be possible if it weren’t for the men and women who’ve laid it all on the line. For each and every one of us. A due that I hope we as Americans remain mindful of. 🇺🇸

Part of our day loading out our steers and lighter heifers for tomorrow’s sale at Herreid Livestock Auction. Also got the replacements moved out of the yard. Glad we had a great crew hauling.
