Strawberries change throughout the season—and the riper they are, the more care they need! Here’s how to get the most out of every box 👇

🍓 Early Season vs. Peak Season

At the beginning of the season, strawberries are a bit firmer and last longer.

As the season progresses, they become sweeter, juicier, and more delicate—which means they need a little extra love!

🚫 Handle With Care

Our strawberries are picked fresh and ripe—which means:

• They bruise easily

• Soft spots ≠ bad… just peak ripeness + flavor!

• Avoid shaking or digging through the box

👉 Treat them gently and they’ll reward you with the BEST flavor!

🚗 Transport Tips

• Don’t leave strawberries in a hot trunk

• Keep them in the backseat, cool, and open

• Get them home as soon as possible

⏰ Don’t Wait to Work Them Up

Strawberries have already:

Picked ✔️ Packed ✔️ Traveled ✔️

So when you get home:

👉 Go ahead and process them right away

Leaving them sitting on the counter = faster breakdown

💧 Washing & Storage

• Don’t wash until ready to eat

• If eating fresh: quick rinse + lay flat to dry

• Store unwashed berries in the fridge

🕒 Shelf life:

• Whole berries → a couple of days

• Sliced with sugar → up to a week

🧊 Pro Tip (Game Changer!)

We’ve learned this through trial and error 👇

👉 Store unwashed berries in a Rubbermaid FreshWorks / StayFresh container in the fridge

⏳ They can last up to 2 weeks!
