Greetings FROF Friends -

As you may have noted on our website or if you've called, we have no apples.

But fear not! A Finley Point neighbor, Ben Orchards, does have apples, and they will be open for u-picking tomorrow, September 20, from 10 am to 2 pm.

They report having Honeycrisp, Gala, and Macintosh available. Apples are $1/lb. The orchard is farther out North Finley Point Road at 33930 Trinity Cove, near the IOOF camp.

That is all the information I have, so pose your questions to Mara at Ben Orchards, 406-531-8276. Please be respectful about not calling too late (after 8 p.m.) or too early (before 8:30 a.m.)

And remember, you can always order cherry treats on our website. The holidays are coming up quickly, and nothing quite shows your love like cherry products from Fat Robin!

Many thanks to our Fat Robin family for giving us another successful u-pick cherry season! We wish Mother Nature had provided us with more fruit. She can be fickle. She didn't leave us with any apples this year, so we won't be offering u-pick apples. But, you can enjoy cherries year-round with our yummy cherry products. They make great gifts, bringing a little of Montana's summer sunshine to our winter months. See you next year!

Got blueberries? Our neighbor farmers at Free Will Farm are offering organic u-pick blueberries at their farm not far off Highway 35 on Finley Point Rd. Like us, they are asking folks to make an appointment to pick. You can reach them by call or text at (406) 261-2275. Tell ‘em Fat Robin sent you!

Here's a quick update about picking at Fat Robin...

We still have cherries! Nice fat Lapins. Lots of them. This mild summer has been kind to us.

We'd love some of you to take lots home. Or lots of you to take some home?

Here are our available times over the next few days:
Wednesday, from 8 until 2
Thursday, from 8 until 2
Friday, from 8 until 2
Saturday - closed
Sunday from 9 until 2

Just give me a call, 406-887-2869, to let me know when you'd like to come.

You will need some kind of step-stool. The best fruit usually hangs just out of reach. Remember your containers for your fruit, and we prefer cash or check or Venmo over a credit card.

Here's a quick update about picking at Fat Robin...

We still have appointments available, https://fatrobinorchard.com/harvest-time

We will be open for u-pick on Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2. For those of you with an appointment, we'll see you then! If you have an appointment on Sunday, August 3, or after, we will not have enough decent fruit available. You may want to try the two other organic orchards on Finley Point. They are Ben Orchard (I do not have their number. They are two miles past us on North Finley Point Rd.), or Spindrift, at 406-360-4412. They are located before you reach the state park on South Finley Point Rd.

The Lapins are available for those of you with an appointment. All other varieties are picked out. There are some Rainiers that have been in the cooler that you are welcome to sort through if you really need a Rainier fix.

This late in the season, the fruit usually hangs just out of reach, so plan accordingly. Remember your containers for your fruit, and we prefer cash or check over a credit card.
