Volunteer opportunity 👩🏻🎨🎨🖌️
Downtown Ronan is getting a beautiful new piece of community art, and you're invited to help create it. Mission West is hosting Community Paint Days for the newest mural in the Spring Creek Mural Project, and no experience is needed. Using a simple paint-by-numbers approach, everyone from children to elders can pick up a brush and add to the artwork. Supplies are provided, so just bring your creativity and community spirit.
This mural celebrates the waters that give Ronan its name. Inspired by the Salish place name Ocqètkʷ, meaning "place where the spring water comes out," the design honors the native fish, wildlife, and waterways of the region within Salish and Kootenai homelands. Designed by local artists Aspen and Cameron Decker, it's the newest addition bringing color and meaning to downtown Ronan.
Join us Saturday, September 19th and Saturday, September 26th, from 11:00am to 6:00pm both days at 128 Main St SW in Ronan. Come for an hour or stay for the afternoon, every brushstroke helps bring it to life. This project is funded through the Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program. We can't wait to paint with you!
