Carolina Pride Pastures is an alpaca farm featuring both types of alpacas- Huacaya and Suri. The farm specializes in farm tours, farm-produced alpaca yarn, handmade fiber items, fleece sales, and alpaca fertilizer. Alicia Holbrook, owner, and her husband, Eric started the farm after Alicia watched a late night show on the animals after the birth of their second daughter. Eric loved the idea, which

is rare!!! After they attended a seminar on the animals, they decided to make the investment. Over the course of two years, Alicia and Eric purchased land, built a barn, and fence. With the help of some great family members, the entire project was completed in November, 2013. Since the arrival of the starter herd of 5 pregnant females in November 2013, the herd has welcomed numerous crias, purchased a few, and rescued a few. The herd is protected by a Great Pyrenees, llamas, and a flock of chickens and ducks that think they are guard animals. Schedule your visit to see the difference between alpacas and llamas.

From herd to hand isn’t a slogan. It’s our daily routine. 🦙🧶

At Carolina Pride Pastures in South Carolina, yarn begins in the pasture, not a warehouse.

Here’s what that looks like:
• Alpacas raised with hands-on care
• Fleece sorted and prepared right on the farm
• Yarn that makers can trace back to the field
• Farm visits that connect families and classrooms to the fiber journey

When students see where fiber comes from, lessons stick. When makers know the source, every project carries a story.

Bring the kids. Bring your curiosity. 🦙🌾

At Carolina Pride Pastures, yarn starts with a morning walk to the pasture and ends with soft skeins in your hands. You can feel the difference when fiber is grown and spun with care right here in South Carolina.

We love watching families meet the alpacas, makers talk shop, and little hands reach out to touch freshly spun yarn. It is farm life you can see, feel, and carry home.

Ever felt alpaca fiber between your fingers? 🦙✨

At Carolina Pride Pastures, learning starts in the pasture and ends with yarn in your hands. You walk the fields, meet the herd up close, and see how each fleece turns into the soft fiber makers love.

Kids ask questions. Grown-ups lean in. Everyone leaves knowing a little more about where yarn really comes from.

That’s a farm day that sticks with you. 🌾🧶

From herd to hand 🦙🧶 that’s how we do things here in South Carolina.

At Carolina Pride Pastures, the journey starts in the pasture and ends in your hands. You can watch the alpacas graze, learn how their fleece is shorn, and feel the difference in yarn spun right from the farm.

Kids ask questions. Makers run the fiber through their fingers. Teachers see lessons come to life outside the classroom. It’s hands-on, start to finish.

Come see where your yarn begins and walk the fields with us. Book your spot at www.cppastures.com 🌾

You hear the hum of the spinning wheel before you even step inside 🧶🐑

At Carolina Pride Pastures in South Carolina, fiber starts in the field and moves through careful hands to become yarn that inspires makers. In our Maker Spotlight, we’re celebrating simple projects you can make with a single farm skein: a cozy cowl, a pair of fingerless mitts, or a beginner hat, perfect for building confidence and finishing something beautiful.

This isn’t just work for us. It’s a legacy we’re building, one skein at a time.
