We have times available this weekend for viewing/buying appointments.

We still have A2/A2 bred and not-bred milking cows, A2/A2 bred 20-month old heifers, and non-A2/A2 bred and not-bred milking cows.

66 x mixed-age milking cows:
-Bred to dairy or beef (confirmed bred via milk test)
-A2/A2 (confirmed via tissue sample)

34 x mixed-age milking cows:
-A2/A2 (confirmed via tissue sample)
-NOT confirmed bred (some samples were lost or spilled, others were unable to be tested, some came back as not bred)
-Have been with bulls until a week ago, so could still be bred even though no confirmed test

24 x 20-month old heifers
-Bred to dairy or beef (confirmed bred via vet check)
-A2/A2 (confirmed via tissue sample)

5 x 20-month old heifers
-A2/A2 (confirmed via tissue sample)
-NOT confirmed bred (vet declared open at vet check but they are still with bull and could be bred)

RED BRED MILKING COWS!

We were asked if we had any reddish cows, and here they are! (We do have other ones too that are other colors.)

All of these are:
-Holstein-Jersey milking cows
-New Zealand Grazing genetics
-Confirmed bred via milk test (could be bred to dairy or beef)
-Some are A2/A2 (as per test results), others are likely A2/A2 due to herd breeding but not guaranteed/not tested.

Meet LAVA!

We got her out as per someone’s specifics and they went with a different one (which is normal, we always pull out extras for viewing and of course people are welcome to walk through the entire herd if desired!).

Number #1 requirement above all else was “personality” and that the cow be friendly and easy to handle. She is one of the quietest cows we have and was a “pet” to our (human) girls at one time.

She is confirmed bred, and should be bred to Angus.

She milks very well (possibly better than some of our other cows and on par with the rest of them!) but only has 3 working quarters. We have had her since birth and she entered the herd this way, presumably she lost it to some fly damage when she was a calf (our calves used to be raised in MO where it was hotter and flies were more of an issue sometimes).

She is not confirmed A2/A2, but it would be likely due to our breeding.

-Confirmed bred by vet
-Could be bred to either dairy or beef
-Due to calve mid Feb and onwards
-Most likely A2/A2 due to breeding only A2 genetics for years, but have not been tested

3yo - 6yo DAIRY COWS BRED TO BEEF

We have pulled out a group of cows for viewing by someone who had specific characteristics they were seeking (they wanted an assortment to choose from but never intended to buy all):

-Full dairy
-Bred to Angus
-Have already given birth to multiple calves in past
-Bigger stature (relatively speaking) for breeding to beef
-Good in all 4 quarters for milking
-Easy to handle

We’re mooooving (to be closer to our girls, who go to college next year)! Which means that we need to rehome our cows!

*Approximately 150 mixed age milking cows
*Holstein-Jersey cross with NZ grazing genetics
*Most are A2/A2 (some already confirmed with paperwork, others being tested)
*Bred and expected to calve in spring (paperwork confirms bred status via milk testing)
*Approximately 25% bred to dairy, 75% bred to Angus
*Cows are 3-8 years old with majority under 5
*Very calm temperaments
*Fed mostly pasture, with some grain (Sneaky girls also broke into a few silage bales, so we decided to feed those out, as seen in pics!)
*We are located in Southeast Ohio (near Athens, OH)

*Have NOT been exposed to a bull
*Born on farm to our own cows
*Been fed mostly grass with some grain
*Calm temperaments, have human contact daily
*7 in total - they like to hang out with each other but could be split

ETA: Heifer calf is claimed, bull calf is still available.

We have made a slight mistake. We KNOW that a few people had messaged us about British White heifer calves, but we can’t seem to find the names (and of course all of the calves being born at the time were bulls). Please message us if that was you, we currently have a single BW-dairy heifer calf available. (She is the one who is mostly white with brown ears)

We also have a British White- dairy bull available. (He is the more speckled one). Thanks!
