This is it, Meigs County (and surrounding areas)! Tomorrow is your last chance to come and get your weekly haul of FREE food for any kids in your home! You know the drill:

Where: Meigs Elementary School - 36871 SR 124, Middleport OH

When: Wednesdays (last one 8/12) from 10-1pm

Who: ANY families with kids ages 1-18 in the home. ALL families with kids ages 1-18 qualify.

Please note: We are fully stocked with food and ready to hand out to you tomorrow! We will even be there in the rain! However, if there is lightning RIGHT ON TOP OF US (like there was last 10 minutes of last week), then we must close up operations for the safety of our staff. With that said, in all the years we've done this, we've only had to shut down early one time.....which was 10 minutes early last week.

So, if you can make it out to us tomorrow, please come!! We have LOTS of food to hand out.....and it ALL has to go!

And....for those of you who visit our (MUCH smaller) Racine Star Mill Park location on Thursdays from 11:30-12....we will be doing that site on Thursday as well. Last day for that one too!

Out of an abundance of caution, we are putting out this notice regarding Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk. These 8 ounce cartons have been recalled due to potential spoilage issues.

Meigs Local utilized a very small amount of these milks at our library locations and at our High School programming. Do not panic. If you have any of these milks at home, you will just need to dispose of them.

This recall DOES NOT affect any other milk products used in our program. Our gallons of milk, which are United Dairy brand, are not affected.

This recall was enacted by Horizon. Affected milk dates are listed in the picture. If you have specific questions, please reference the hotline phone number in the pic.

Hello McFly! (Meigs County and surrounding areas.....we're talking to you!) You only have TWO remaining chances to come and load up on FREE food for the kids in your home! This week's haul includes Salisbury Steak/Mashed Potatoes; Chicken Strips/Fries; Burrito; Beef Jerky sticks; Cheezits; Uncrustable; and sooo much more!

We know you don't always like to take all the milk (it's a state requirement though)....so get creative with it! You can freeze milk (just take a little bit out of the jug first to allow for expansion)....you can bake/cook with it......or you can make FRESH Queso Fresco cheese (pic below) just like one of our families did!

Come and see us tomorrow at Meigs Elementary from 10a-1p....you won't be sorry you made the trip :) Oh yeah.....and tell your friends and neighbors!

Meigs Local School District families: We will have FREE breakfast and lunch again for ALL students for the upcoming 26/27 school year!!

Here's an important note though: our ability to financially maintain this status is largely due to YOUR participation in our Summer Meal Program. It is VERY important for you to come out on Wednesdays and pick up food for your child. Our summer food is for EVERY family with kids ages 1-18 (that reside with you). **Note....Summer food is for all kids....not just Meigs Local students!!

We still have TWO remaining weeks of our Summer Meal Program, which is held on Wednesdays at Meigs Elementary from 10a-1p. If you haven't been there yet, please come out!! And if you have been there, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support!

Hey Meigs County (and surrounding areas)! You've only got 3 more opportunities to come and score some awesome FREE food for your kids!! We'll be at it again tomorrow (Wednesday 7/29) at Meigs Elementary from 10-1!

Lots of great food this week! Corn Dogs & Tots; Hot Pockets; Chicken Nuggets & Mac & Cheese; Chicken Alfredo or Rotini; and of course staples like pop tarts, cereal, juice, and GALLONS of milk! (More food given than is listed here....this is just a sampling.)

As a reminder, we also offer 10 # bags of ice for a $2 donation....and we load that for you too! Really.....how much better can it get??

Meigs County (and surrounding areas)!! We are already over halfway through our summer meal program! That means you only have 5 weeks left to come and take advantage of our incredible FREE food! All kids ages 1-18 qualify!

We'll be out there tomorrow (Wednesday 7/15) from 10a-1p, so bring a neighbor, a friend.....anyone with kids (in the home) and come and see us!! And as always, free perks for the kids who show up as well! Share to spread the word :)

Just a reminder: we only monitor this page once weekly, on Tuesday afternoons. Any messages sent Tuesday evening or later will be addressed the following week.

Meigs County (and surrounding areas): It's time to come and stock up on another week's worth of FREE food for any child in your home, age 1-18!!

Every child in your home gets food. No sharing...no fighting over who gets what. Every child gets the food. And what do YOU get? No meal prep; healthy nutrition for your kids; lower food bills at the grocery store! And we even load it all up for you!!

Seriously....how much better can it get??

Here's the catch....we need you to make the program work! The more participation we have, the more resources flow to our rural Appalachian area. So, if you're reading this and you have kids in your home ages 1-18, then we're talking to YOU!! And if you don't have kids, then share this info with someone who does!
