Meigs County and Surrounding areas: It's here!

FREE meals for all kids, ages, 1-18, starts tomorrow (Wed, 6/3) at Meigs Elementary School (36871 SR 124, Middleport, OH).

All children eligible. If you have not pre-registered, we will help you with the short registration form on site. Only parents/guardians and adult caretakers with signed permission will be allowed to pick up.

As a bonus, children present in the vehicle will receive a small treat, while supplies last 🏎️

Tonight is your last chance to pre-register for our Summer Meal Program! We'll be at Meigs Elementary from 5p-7p. If you come in person, you'll get your car tag and get to skip ahead in the line on Wednesday.

If you can't make it, no problem! You are welcome to fill out our online registration form, or fill one out on site on Wednesday. FREE food giveaway starts Wednesday from 10am-1pm at Meigs Elementary!!

IMPORTANT!! If you pre-registered in person, you DO NOT need to fill out this online form. We already have yours, and you won't have to wait as long on Wednesday :)

Can't make an in person registration? No problem....the online form is included here. You may only register children who reside in your home. If you are a caretaker for a child (who doesn't live with you), then that child's parent/guardian must fill out their own form and list you as an approved pick up person.

Our first distribution is on Wednesday, June 3rd at Meigs Elementary (36871 SR 124, Middleport) from 10am-1pm.

We also have a smaller distribution at the Racine Star Mill Park starting next Thursday from 11:30-12:00.

We are preregistering folks today at Meigs Elementary from 11a-1p for the FREE summer meal program!

Why should you do this in person? You’ll receive your car tag today which will allow you to skip ahead in the line on Wednesday.

If you can’t make an in person registration, no worries! We will post the online registration form on our FB page this evening!

🍎 Any child ages 1–18 is eligible!

✅ While we primarily target our immediate area, ANY child is welcome to receive meals.

✅ No income form is required for meals — just a short registration form.

⚠️ IMPORTANT PICKUP INFORMATION ⚠️

Parent or guardian required at pickup.

Alternate caregivers ARE allowed to pick up meals ONLY if a signed alternate pickup form is on file.

❌ Handwritten notes will NOT be accepted.

If another adult is picking up during the first week, they MUST have your signed form or we cannot allow pickup.

Registration forms will be collected from every vehicle.

⚠️ There will be a pickup limit of 5 meal bags per adult UNLESS all children are from the same household.

Example: If Grandma is picking up for 2 separate families with 8 grandchildren total, an additional caregiver must also be present in the vehicle.

⭐ CHILDREN PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE OVERRIDE ALL CAREGIVER GUIDELINES ABOVE. ⭐

Please note that we encourage you to come to a pre-registration event if possible. We will post an online registration form Friday evening for those unable to make it, but still wish to pre-register. These cars will still have to go through the line on Wednesday to get their 'tags'.

Meigs Local is currently accepting applications for substitute cooks. Those interested should be clean, dependable, able to work as part of a team....and enjoy being around children. Hours generally run 6am-1:15p on an as needed basis. Pay is $11/hr. Background check required. Applications can be picked up at Meigs Administrative Offices (41765 Pomeroy Pike) or can be obtained online at Meigslocal.org. If further questions, please private message this page.
