Well when we started out with Boer goats Rylie momma and dad sat down and decided what our direction should be and set some goals. We decided we wanted to focus on some older does so we could have our own young goats sooner, rather than buying cute young goats right off the bat. We got lucky being right place at the right time and purchasing Black Knight our Blackstone son. As last year moved forward we learned of a bred and owned/ born in the farm award for the series. At the end of last season we decided we wanted to try and win it this year. Well here we are at the end of the season and we won too farm for bred and owned and we came in second for top overall farm. We won top percentage buck. Top junior doe, and several other awards. What a year for our second year. Can’t wait for kids for next season as we are half through our breeding season. Also pictured Zoey came out of the broad doe pen and won division champ. Our only dapple goat will get AI in December.
