To my husband…Marvin, I’m beyond proud of you! I remember you carrying a box from salons to barbershops selling cupcakes & pound cakes about 10 years ago. I remember you walking around Westside Park at the football games with a rolling cart selling cupcakes & pound cakes. I remember you selling desserts from our house. I remember just last year we were selling desserts from under a tent on an empty lot. I remember you telling your mom & me for a few years that you wanted to leave the corporate world and get a food truck and sell desserts and deli sandwiches. My Mother In Law said, “Gina you’re going to come home one day and Marvin is going to have that truck in the yard”. We both laughed, because we knew he was serious. Fast forward..he got the food truck September 2025. 🙌🏽 We did a private grand opening/dedication with family on his mom’s birthday October 2. His mom saw the food truck, anointed the truck, and told me, “Gina I told you he was going to get it”. LOL Four days later my mother in law transitioned. 😢 I was so happy she was able to see her baby boy dream come to reality.

Marvin, I have watched you grow and overcome the whispers. Keep up the great work and this is a true testament of having faith the size of a mustard seed. It may be small to y’all, but it’s MAJOR for me!
