The wife and I decided to take a drive to walk the land yesterday that we are buying. One of the things we noticed was the amount of elevation change in the middle of the 25 acres. My question today is how do you build our Farmstead layout with the contours in mind? Ive posted a 2D layout of our initial plan in an earlier post. With that in mind, based on these photos, what would you change?

Our plan is to have a Generational Farm to Table farm. The list below is what the top 10 products that are being sold in OK. What would you add, or take away from this list? We will not, at least initially, have beef or wheat. We will have Honey and other Bee related products.

1. Beef & Veal
2. Pasture-Raised Pork
3. Winter Wheat
4. Poultry (Broilers & Eggs)

Who all butcher's their meat on-site? I have been talking with my friends Ron and Mary Downs Kiper about this topic. If you do can you send me pictures of your setup? What size butcher area do you use? Attached is my preliminary layout that I'm thinking of building in my work shop. It's 15x20, is that enough space? I've added an area to preserve food in the butcher area, is that a good idea? Thanks for any input

Gardening is one of the plans we have for the Farmstead. We plan on using raised beds, to limit the bending and kneeling for this old man. The picture attached is one I found for a layout. I stretched the length to accommodate more plants. The only difference other than length is the beds will be 42" off the ground. My question for today is which plants do we plant close together for better soil nutrients and pesticides control.? Our friends Ron and Mary Kiper have been giving us tips but I like together as much information as possible. Thank you in advance for your input. The dimensions i listed will be a little different once I start building I'm sure
