💥Availability will be posted tomorrow, 6/19!

Since our waitlist for these girls is usually a year long, we’ve done away with it. Moving forward, available pullets will be posted for sale when they’re ready for pickup. First customer to “claim” in the comments will be messaged and payment is required that day. Keeping it short, sweet, and simple!

Most hens lay various shades of dark chocolate and reddish brown, but also yield olive eggs. In recent years, we’ve focused on incorporating speckles and heavy blooms. Due to the blooms, it’s not uncommon to for these girls to lay grey, pink, or lavender.

We’ve been busy bees in the kitchen this week! 🌽🫐

From picking to prepping to canning, the girls helped every step of the way. We preserved corn, corn syrup (maple syrup alternative), and blueberry jam. We couldn’t wait to try out the jam this morning on some homemade biscuits. DELICIOUS!

Having little helping hands in the kitchen slowed the process down just a tad, but maybe that’s the entire point. Children remind us to breathe, enjoy the moment, and make memories.🫶🏼

Ps- Audrey is in an Elsa and makeup phase. She reapplies her makeup every 2.5 seconds and wears the same dress daily. I pick my battles with her.

These Wellie girls will be large enough in another 1-2 weeks to enter a mature flock. Keep in mind integration always takes time and patience. The more new birds added, the easier time they’ll have.

Welsummer genetics vary, but speckles are common amongst this breed. They’re categorized as “dark layers”, but do not expect a chocolate colored egg.
