Friends,
Calleva has reluctantly decided to cancel our June, July & August Dirty Dinners. Due to the tremendous uncertainties surrounding COVID-19 and Montgomery County's re-opening timeline, we feel this is the prudent action to take.
We are disappointed, but remain hopeful that we'll be able to schedule a dinner (or two!) in late August and/or September, so please stay tuned to this space for updates coming later this summer.
We hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy during this very challenging time.
Stop by the Calleva Farm Store and pick up some beautiful, locally grown blooms for the weekend. Thanks for the lovely addition to our shop. We're glad to be partnering with you!
You'll also find the store's usual items: South Mountain Creamery milk, farm fresh eggs & frozen meats.
BACK IN STORE NEXT WEEK: Fresh Bread & a whole batch of new products!!
If you need to restock some basics, the Calleva Store is open for business!

We've got an idea will help you stick with the program for dinner tonight without KALE-ing your vibe.
You'll need a pound of greens from the Calleva Farm Store to make this quick & delicious recipe ---
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup sun dried tomatoes
1 pound dried pasta (we like rigatoni)
2 Tablespoons EVOO
1 large onion, thinly sliced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pound CALLEVA FARM kale (or collards), stems & ribs removed, coarsely chopped!!
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons capers (optional)
Salt to taste
Âľ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS:
1. Soften sundried tomatoes in hot water about 10 minutes (until they are soft). Drain & cut into pieces.
2. Begin cooking the pasta.
3. While the pasta is cooking, heat the EVOO in a large skillet & saute the onion over med-high heat until it’s golden. Add the red pepper flakes & tomatoes. Stir fry for 1 minute.
4. Add the kale, tossing well until it wilts.
5. Add the garlic & cook, stirring frequently for 5 minutes. Add capers & their juice and remove from heat.
6. Drain the cooked pasta and mix it in with the kale. Salt to taste.
7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
