🥗 Strawberry Poppy Seed Salad Fresh strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, black olives, and candied pecans tossed in our creamy poppy seed dressing. Add grilled chicken if you'd like!

This one always makes me think of my dad. He loved poppy seed dressing. He would always say, "Sandwiches and salads always taste better when somebody else makes them." 😂 No doubt Dad!!!

🦅🥪 Philly Cheesesteak Tender prime rib with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and plenty of melty provolone on a toasted hoagie.

If you grew up in the 80s and remember grabbing a cheesesteak from Great Steak Escape at the mall food court, go full throwback and add mayo and lettuce. Around here, you all know my lettuce standards are... intense. 😆 If you've eaten at Mimi's, you already know we don't mess around with sad lettuce. I blame MiMi for that one! Or rather thank her!!!!

🇺🇸🎆 We're kicking off the Fourth of July weekend with a HUGE Yard Sale! 🎆🇺🇸

📢Just one little update...

I underestimated just how much we had to unload! Between items from the tornado, years of collecting, and lots of treasures that are finally making their way out, this sale turned out to be much bigger than expected.

🚚 We'll be opening around 11:00 today, and I'll be adding new items throughout the day. If you stop by more than once, you'll likely find something you didn't see before!

💰 Everything is PRICED TO SELL, so come ready to treasure hunt! And just so expectations are in the right place...this is a REAL yard sale! 😄 You'll find everything from everyday household items and furniture to garage finds, tornado leftovers, forgotten projects, and plenty of random surprises. It's NOT the curated inventory you'd expect inside Mimi's, but if you love the thrill of the hunt, you just might find your next favorite treasure.

🥪 We will not be serving lunch today as we'll be busy continuing to bring up more loads of yard sale items throughout the day.

👋 I'll be around on and off throughout the afternoon and early evening, so feel free to stop by. New treasures will be coming out all day!

🇺🇸 We're doing something a little different this Fourth of July weekend... and I think you're going to love it! 🇺🇸

I've been digging through closets, storage rooms, cabinets... and all those places where "I'll deal with it later" eventually turns into, "Well... I guess this is the weekend!" 😄

So instead of trying to juggle a yard sale at home, I decided to load it all up, bring it downtown, and turn it into an Indoor Fourth of July Yard Sale!

We're making room for what's next and thought we'd have a little fun along the way.

After all... what's more American than a homemade country breakfast, a Fourth of July parade, and a good old-fashioned yard sale? ❤️🤍💙

🌞 Starting at 9:00 a.m. Come treasure hunt with us! There'll be a little bit of everything... because that's what the best yard sales are all about. You never know what treasure you'll take home!

🥗 Beginning at 11:00 a.m., we'll also be serving a light, fresh summer lunch menu because let's be honest... we're all about to enjoy plenty of great food this holiday weekend! And with this Southeast Missouri heat, a cool summer lunch sounds pretty perfect.

Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m.

Join us before the Fourth of July Parade for a delicious breakfast ,including French toast sticks, Royal Breakfast Casserole and our homemade biscuits and gravy made from our family recipe... if you know, you know. ❤️

The parade passes right by our front door, so you can enjoy breakfast in the air conditioning while watching the festivities, or step outside and soak up all the hometown fun.

We've put a lot of work into pulling everything together, and we can't wait to share it with you. There will be treasures to hunt for, good food, and hopefully a chance to slow down and enjoy a little hometown Fourth of July tradition.

This Father's Day, I woke up overwhelmed.

Life has been a season of transitions. Cleaning out rooms. Preparing for a yard sale. Letting go of things. Trying to build what's next while still carrying pieces of what was.

This morning I stood looking at my carport and thought, "Dad would never have let me get away with this."

Growing up, we spent countless weekends working. Cleaning, mowing, hauling, chopping wood, pulling weeds, and tackling whatever project needed to be done. At the time, I thought it was punishment. Looking back, I realize it was love disguised as work.

So today, in honor of my dad, I'm tackling the mess.
As I work, I'll be thinking about all those Saturdays I didn't appreciate enough. The lessons about responsibility, pride in your work, and taking care of what you've been given.

My dad was known by many as a great attorney. To me, he was simply Dad. The man who taught me that hard work matters, preparation matters, and that if you don't know the answer, you study until you find it.

Those lessons followed me into my last career. Dad taught me to look at every angle, ask hard questions, and never stop searching for the truth. It became just as important to me to find evidence that could clear someone of a crime as it was to find evidence that proved they committed one. Justice isn't about proving you're right he'd say, It's about finding the truth.

What I didn't fully understand when I was younger was how many lives he touched. Since losing him, complete strangers have shared stories with me about the kindness, wisdom, and help he gave them during difficult moments in their lives.

Through those stories, I've gotten to know another side of my father, and it has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

My dad has been gone almost two years now, and one thing I've learned is that grief changes shape.

Sometimes it isn't tears. Sometimes it's looking at a pile of clutter and hearing a voice in your head saying, "Get this s**t cleaned up, LeLe!"

And somehow, for a little while, they're right there beside you again.

Happy Father's Day, Dad.

Thank you for every lesson I complained about, every lesson I carry with me today, and for showing me that a life well lived isn't measured by what you leave behind, but by the people whose lives are better because you were here.

🏀 Welcome Rib City Shootout Players, Coaches & Families! 🏀

We're excited to have you in Poplar Bluff this week!

One of the best things about playing at the Black River Coliseum is that Downtown Poplar Bluff is just a short walk away. Instead of fighting traffic, moving your vehicle, and searching for parking between games, you can simply stretch your legs and enjoy lunch, coffee, shopping, and local businesses all within walking distance.

Mimi's Market & Royal Café is just a block and a half from the Coliseum, and we're open for lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM, with dinner beginning at 5 PM on Fridays. Need something quick? Call ahead for carryout!

While you're here, we encourage you to explore all that downtown has to offer. From restaurants and coffee shops to unique boutiques and small businesses, there are plenty of local spots to enjoy during your stay.

Raise your hand if you've ever said, "There's nothing to do in Poplar Bluff." 🙋‍♀️

The irony isn't lost on me that one of the biggest complaints we hear is that we have to leave town to find something to do... and I'll be the first to admit I've been guilty of that myself.

This weekend, Bluff's All-American Weekend at Ray Clinton Park will bring everything from a demolition derby and monster trucks to a professional drone show, live music, vendors, food trucks, and family activities. 🚁✨

Just across the river, the Historic Train Depot will be hosting a pancake 🥞breakfast, lunch, and a beer🍻 garden as part of its ongoing revitalization efforts.

And I'll be honest, I didn't really know what a drone show was until I watched the video on the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce page. It's a lot more impressive than I realized. 🤯

What most of us see is a weekend event. What we don't always see are the months of planning, fundraising, organizing, volunteering, and coordination that make it possible.

You asked for more things to do. People listened. Let's support them.
