We wrapped up our work at Billings Park this past weekend. The meet and greet was a great success. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the park and learning about goats and buckthorn management. Billings Park really is a gem of a community hub.

We wanted to say one last thank you to the City of Superior parks department and Jim Paine, Mayor of Superior for endorsing the project. We are excited to be back in late summer to continue our work improving the park’s ecosystem.

Everybody stay calm! The goats are back at Billings Park! 🐐

Join us TODAY at 5:30pm for a chance to see them up close, enjoy crafts in the park, and learn about the efforts of our hardest working landscapers.

These goats are on a very important mission to help remove invasive buckthorn from our environment.

Buckthorn is an invasive plant that disrupts local ecosystems by degrading soil and wildlife habitat. Goats are a sustainable, chemical-free solution as they already love to eat buckthorn! Their hard work promotes native plant regrowth in a way that is safe for the environment and effective over time. 💙

We’re very happy to be back grazing at Billings Park in Superior. The City of Superior is really making a strong effort to control the buckthorn and other invasive plants in this beautify park. I’m not certain but I think this might be the only prescribed grazing work being done directly on the shores of Lake Superior.
