Hey, it’s me! Your whoopie girl! After a fun little giveaway, I have now reached 2k followers on Instagram. We still have quite a way on Facebook but that’s ok. That’s still crazy! That’s so many lovely friends who care to follow along on this crazy whoopie journey. Someone asked me yesterday if I’m sick of my job yet— not one but! I love what I do. I love that I get to make my favorite childhood treat become a staple of joy in the community. Thank you for caring for me and supporting me as I navigate wifehood, motherhood, and all of the chaos in between. I couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. I’m forever grateful!
In honor of 2k followers on Instagram, and all the new followers on both pages, I thought it would be fun to tell you 10 random, fun facts about me that are not whoopie related!
- I’m from a small town in New Hampshire. My whole family is there. I don’t regret moving across the country but I always miss my family deeply. I am so grateful for this incredible community I’ve built in the PNW over the last 10 years. Hence the name of my business “East To West.”
- I used to be cat obsessed. Every shirt, cup, journal, poster— you name it— was cat related as a teen. I decided one day, that if I wanted a man to fall in love with me, I needed to grow up a bit and threw everything away😅
- I used to be an opera-like singer in high school which I won a couple awards for. Just like most hobbies after motherhood, it went on the back burner for quite a while but I just recently got back into it and am taking voice lessons!
- My husband and I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage this fall! We’ve been together for 11!
- I have 3 wonderful kids who perfectly fulfilled my childhood dreams of being a mother. Two adventurous boys and one sweet&spicy girl!
- My first job at 14 was at my favorite pizza place and I worked there for 5 years. The pizza options were similar to our local Gordy’s. I could never get sick of pizza. I love it so much that I sometimes have dreams of it. We don’t eat it often now because my husband doesn’t like it🤣
- I used to think I wanted to be a commercial truck driver when I grew up.
- My favorite nail color is one specific type of red and you will rarely ever see me have a different color!
- My favorite number is 26. I’m not sure why but whenever I see it, I’m reminded to stop and pray, and thank God for all that I have. I recently got it tattooed behind my ear. I also often forget it’s even there lol.
- My ultimate goal in life is to “be the village.” We live in a hard world. Often divided. It’s easy to feel alone. I love to serve and fill any gap needed. I do believe “the village” exists but that’s only if we make the space to be it.
If you made it this far— thanks for reading!
All the love. Xoxo!
