Salt Creek Farm

Salt Creek Farm Community Supported Agriculture since 1993. First CSA in Clallam County. In 1993, we set four main goals for the farm.

They were:

-Reconnect people to the source of their food.
-Provide nutritious organic food for the local community.
- Farm in a responsible and sustainable way that not only maintains but improves soil fertility.
-Help revitalize small-scale agriculture on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Delicata Dessert - courtesy of Red Dog Farm CSA Newsletter

Wash a delicata squash. Slice it into 1/8" rounds, keeping the seeds in each round. Lay them in a single layer on a baking sheet and place a thin pat of butter on each round. Cook at 400 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Once they are soft and maybe becoming a little crispy (depending on your preference), remove them from the oven and drizzle maple syrup on each round. Enjoy warm or cool.

Enjoy in season produce while supporting local farms! Where do you go for fresh, seasonal produce?
