If you haven't met this amazing woman, please let me introduce her! Meet Katelyn, she became the Social Media Manager for Welly's in 2023 and after many promotions her official position as of this year is Assistant Manager and Digital Media. With the new year and the sale of the business, Katelyn has taken the role of the Digital Media Manager for Bella Rosa and Silver Lining Cafe. Both of which had little to no social media.

Katelyn's passion for social media and marketing began freshman year of high school with DECA and different extracurricular classes such as Sports Marketing and Advanced Marketing. She also competed in Entrepreneurship at DECA State several years in a row, and with her outstanding work in these classes she was encouraged by the Associated Student Council (ASC) director to run for student council as she entered Running Start her junior year. Her first year she served as the Director of Marketing on the council, and once again due to her dedication and outstanding work she served as the ASC President at Peninsula College her senior year. Simultaneously, she got her first gig as a Social Media Manager while hosting at the restaurant formerly known as Sapor. Post-graduation, Katelyn finished out her Bachelor degree in Business Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

On a personal note Katelyn enjoys getting outside to explore the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula, whether that's exploring tide pools, hiking, or just going for a random adventure with friends. She is also an avid soccer player and currently plays for two different teams. But also loves to lift heavy weights at the gym, go to concerts, throw pottery, and just spend time around those she loves. Seriously though, she is down for anything!

In the last two months, she has navigated through my, (Mel's), chaos and managed to build the beautiful social media for both of my cafes. She has been able to capture events such as the Senior Takeover and Coffee with a Cop through her camera lens and continues to take on whatever challenge is thrown at her!
