The Texas Food Championship is featured in the September issue of South Side Living!

As we get closer to September 25–27, it’s exciting to see the story of TFC being shared across the Coastal Bend — and to introduce even more of our community to the chefs, competitors, food, entertainment and experiences coming to Water’s Edge Park.

A huge thank you to South Side Living for the Charity Spotlight and for helping us share the mission behind Texas Food Championship and Texas Table of Hope.

Corpus Christi, we’re almost there. Texas is coming to the table.

Mia may be a little too young for the Texas Food Championship Junior Chef Division… but it’s never too early to start practicing. 👩‍🍳❤️

Cooking with my youngest daughter reminds me of something important: the kitchen belongs to everyone.

Cooking with our kids takes longer. It makes a bigger mess. And sometimes it’s easier to say, “I’ll just do it.”

Let them help anyway.

And if your child needs more time, extra guidance, or simply does things a little differently—include them anyway. Every child, of every ability, deserves the opportunity to learn, create, build confidence, and proudly say, “I made that.”

That belief is at the heart of the Texas Food Championship and our nonprofit, Texas Table of Hope.

Tonight, Mia and I made a cake, made a mess, and made memories. ❤️

Another way to get involved in the Texas Food Championship | Food. Fire. Entertainment. Competition weekend activities is to sign up to donate blood with our friends at the coastalbendbloodcenter . You will not only recieve a meal at Nolan's Restaurant and a free tshirt but you will also get a daily entry into the Texas Food Championship. Their goal is 73 donations, I know we can blow that out of the part food sport family!
