2026 Bee Happy Honey is NOW Available!!!..and it is delicious!
Our July honey harvest is complete and it was sultry hot...but what an amazing job our honey bees did this year from both bee yards.
Rock Island county, Illinois, honey is darker with primary flavors of red clover & alfalfa that was plentiful this year.
Hancock County honey has a beautiful blackberry & apple bloom taste. Wow! So yummy.
July harvest allows for full flavor of all the Spring & Summer blooms that change every year. We may have Fall honey unless drought continues.

2026 Honey Harvest at Bee Happy Honey Clampitt Family Farms!
Honey bees did really good and I have to say it may be the most delicious honey so far! We only harvest in July so it includes all Spring & Summer blooming plants/shrubs/trees. Lots of dandelions, white clover, alfalfa, and red clover this year. Was super hot while harvesting.

Summer Soltice - Beekeepers realize that today is the peak of the honey bee season. There are, on average, 75,000 bees per hive. The queen is laying over 2,000 eggs per day and will start slowing down. This is when their nemesis Varroa Mites start to out-produce the honey bee. Important to treated them to help honey bees survive or you will be a Bee-Buyer, not a Bee-Keeper.

This is our yard. We mow some areas and leave the clover and dandelions for the pollinators. Grass feeds nothing, we don't use chemicals or fertilizer, plus we mow less times than our neighbors. So much life here. Lightening bugs have arrived. I see it beautiful.
