Barbera is one of those reds that is juicy and full-bodied without being overly heavy and dry, perfect for this time of year. This week’s featured w**e is typically sold for $20, and the current $15 price tag is the lowest I have seen in years!

The estate of Gianfranco Alessandria dates back to 1940, when his father first planted the vineyards. After selling off the grapes to other producers for decades, Gianfranco began bottling his own w**es in the 1990’s, and almost immediately began receiving critical acclaim. Their small estate of roughly six hectares produces w**es of great quality, with a focus on freshness and character that makes them always an outstanding value!

The 2024 Barbera d’Alba is very balanced. It is medium-bodied, with bold berry notes and hints of earth and spice that really bring everything together. Completely unoaked, this red is great with everything from cheeses and charcuterie to burgers or a nice juicy steak! Drink now!
